I am a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) and have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. This has allowed me a wide variety of experiences working alongside many different clients in inpatient, residential, partial and outpatient settings. I use a biopsychosocial approach to counseling which focuses on the “whole-health” of a person including biological, psychological and social factors, as they all play a significant role in human functioning. I prefer to work from a strengths based perspective which focuses on your internal strengths and resourcefulness as opposed to weaknesses and failures.
I utilize many different treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness. My specialties include substance abuse treatment, co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, perinatal mood/anxiety disorders, grief and loss, domestic violence, stress management and life transitions.
I will work with you to learn how to cope with life’s challenges and ultimately make positive and meaningful change. We are equal partners in this journey to find wellness and build a better ‘you’!
