As a queer therapist, it is crucial for me to ensure your concerns are taken seriously, and you are able to show up as your authentic self. To me, therapy means having a brave space to explore, question, challenge, express emotions (maybe some laughing, crying, and swearing are involved too), and reconnect with our true selves.
My passions and clinical interests include working with folks that have experienced trauma & PTSD, family of origin concerns, life transitions, gender dysphoria and other LGBTQIA+ related concerns, and survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, and other forms of gender-based violence.
I take an eclectic and person-centered approach to therapy. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), feminist, and multicultural therapy modalities. Additionally, I utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), one of the most effective methods for treating PTSD. Simply put, we will work together to identify barriers in your life and the best ways we can address them.
You do not have to walk alone on this journey. You deserve to heal.
